SESSION 7 - 28th May 2014

There are a couple of online resources that may be also interested for your lessons.

Blogger : In order to create a blog like the one you are using at the moment. It may be useful for children when they want to present any information and you are looking for a creative way for so.

Ardora: This is a freeware software that allows you to make your own intereactive activities for your computers or smartboards. It is really simple and you will feel capable to create software that you ever thought as possible.

Ardora can only work properly on Windows, but you can program your activities at home and bring them to school because they can be used even offline and they will work under Linux system.

And which is more fascinating...http://www.mobincube.com/

Mobincube allows you to create your own apps for Iphone or Android. Easy, simple and quick. You do not need to have a wide knowledge of computers. It is perfect for Y5-Y6 students.

Finally, you can download all your projects, teaching units and ideas here:

SESSION 4 - 7th May 2014

Introducing music for teaching English could also be a good idea. We are trying to make a real CLIL project (Contents and Language Integrated Learning).

Therefore, It may be interesting to take a look at this: (TREASURE ISLAND PLAY)

http://1drv.ms/1fLn7to - SCRIPT of Treasure Island for Pupils
http://1drv.ms/1fLngx6 - LYRICS for Songs
http://1drv.ms/1fLnkgj - KARAOKE Songs

You can find the songs on Youtube, just type: "Treasure Island San Jaime"

All these files have been taken from Starshine Music

There you will find lots of Primary School Musicals.

Another good sample of Starshine Musicals is "Rock the Baby" by Sheila Wilson. Please, take a look on this text addapted for Y6 children in Spain:

I highly recommend to have a good collection of scripts like these, which are unexpensive and may offer a wide range of different activities to improve language skills.

On the other hand, I recommend to by new reading books for schools. A good idea may be to do it at www.theworks.co.uk

See you on Wednesday.
